YOUR GAME, YOUR DATA

Privacy & game data

Updated October 1, 2026.

Your guest profile

You can play without an email address or password. A necessary, secure cookie identifies this browser to our server. The cookie lasts up to 180 days and is not used for advertising. Clearing it or changing devices creates a new guest profile; we cannot recover an unlinked guest profile.

We store your nickname, rounds, answers, timing and scores in a Neon database hosted in Frankfurt. This lets us resume a round, calculate scores on the server and remember your daily attempt. Guest profiles expire after 180 days. Expired profiles and their results are removed when the next guest profile is created.

Saving a profile with your email

When profile saving is offered, you can link this browser’s profile to your email address using a one-time six-digit code. Your email address is stored only to recognise your profile and send sign-in codes. It never appears on the leaderboard and is not used for marketing. Each signed-in device keeps its own secure session cookie for up to 180 days.

You can delete a saved profile yourself in the profile dialog on any signed-in device. Deleting removes your email address, all rounds and results — including a published leaderboard entry — and cannot be undone. Your browser then starts over as a guest profile. Signing out is milder: it revokes only the current device’s session and keeps the saved profile.

The public leaderboard

Your results are private until you choose a nickname and select Save result. Your nickname, daily score, number of correct answers and rank then become public. Nicknames are not unique accounts. Avoid using personal information in your nickname. Clearing browser data does not immediately remove a published score from the server.

For abuse prevention, we temporarily store a keyed hash derived from your IP address and request counters. We do not store your raw IP address in the game database. Hosting providers may process IP addresses in their infrastructure logs.

Local demo settings

Demo Pro access, up to 30 recent daily results and your analytics preference are also stored in this browser. Reset demo Pro clears local game settings; it does not reset your server-side daily attempt, guest cookie or public result.

Optional traffic analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits, referral sources and broad device and country statistics. Our integration removes query parameters and fragments from page URLs before reporting them. We do not send your country answers, leaderboard name or shared result text to analytics. Gameplay event reporting is currently disabled.

You can turn analytics off with the Analytics button at the bottom of the game. We also honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. Your preference is saved locally; it does not affect your ability to play. If local storage is unavailable, analytics starts disabled.

Vercel processes request information to provide hosting and traffic statistics. Read Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation for details. This site also loads the Nunito font from Google Fonts on the game page, which sends a font request to Google.

Sharing and payments

Share result opens a preview. Text is only copied or passed to your device’s sharing interface when you choose an action. You decide where to send it. The Pro checkout is a simulation: it does not collect card details or charge money. Demo Pro is not a durable purchase entitlement and does not add a paid badge to the public leaderboard.
